Solidarity Rally will be held, Thursday , July 2nd , at noon at Chicago ’s Federal Plaza. The Rally will be followed by a March towards the Turkish Consulate located at 360 North Michigan , for protesting the government of Turkey ’s recognition of Ahmandinejad’s undemocratic and fraudulent re-election as the Islamic Republic’s president.
This Rally is being held in solidarity with the people of Iran in pursuit of liberty , democracy and justice and in memory of those who have lost their lives for Iran ’s Freedom.
Several Community Families are organizing this event. They request your kind attention to the following:
1) For this Rally , please bring Iranian Flag with no insignia.
2) Organizing families will bring in Placards and Banners that demand and promote Peace , Freedom , Democracy , Human Rights and Unity for Iran .
Please plan to arrive at the Federal Plaza sometimes between 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Everyone’s presence is needed.
Yes , Thursday is a working day! But , let’s remember that our compatriots have paid with their lives and livelihood for their historic struggle for freedom and democracy in Iran . Let’s heed the call from our compatriots who have called for our support:
